Struggling with my XL600, I upgraded to an XR600. Securing a deal & customizing it for Baja made the journey as exciting as the destination.

Terrified of motorcycles initially, my first encounter came in seventh grade during a reckless joy ride on a friend’s dad’s Kawasaki 550 in downtown Milwaukie, Oregon. A police chase and a low-side spill ensued, leading to grounding and a temporary aversion to bikes.
