We received sad word that one of our favorite up-and-coming young riders, Timmy Tibbets, was involved in a pretty nasty crash at the TNMX race at Portland International Raceway.
According to a family member, “Another rider wrecked and his bike hit Tim in the stomach while Tim was in the air. Tim’s liver was cut in half from the force.”
It sounds like his surgery went well, but there will be a followup surgery on Saturday. He will most likely remain in the ICU at the local children’s hospital for several days.
