Daytona, FL (Mar.8) – The BTO Sports-KTM-WPS race team headed to Daytona International Speedway for Round ten of the 2014 Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship Series. Being the teams’ home race, riders Andrew Short and Matt Goerke rode strong and to their best finishes of the Supercross season Saturday night.

Andrew Short came in to Daytona feeling confident and posted the 13th fastest time of the day during afternoon qualifying. He would make the main event via another commanding ride in the Semi, utilizing the power of his KTM Factory Services motor to take control of the race and lead all five laps. In the main, Short would blast out of the gate using the power of his FMF Racing exhaust system, narrowly missing the holeshot. He would then ride a fierce race battling inside the top ten and by the checkered flag, finish a season’s best 5th place. This moves Short in to 6th place in points going in to round 11 at Ford Field in Detroit.

Matt Goerke posted the 15th fastest time during afternoon qualifying and looked to turn things around in Daytona. Feeling confident on the tough outdoor style track, Matt would make his way in to the main through a strong 3rd place ride in the Semi. In the main, Matt used the traction of his Pirelli Scorpion MX tires to fight a mid-pack start, battling inside the top ten all race long. He would persevere and at the end of the twenty laps would finish a season’s best 8th place. Going in to round 11, Matt moves up to 16th in points.
